We make special bow ties for Half check collars. These bow ties have a Harris Tweed covered velcro fastening which wraps around the tweed section of collar.

Half check collars are designed for dogs who love to back out of a regular collar or are terrible pullers. Ideal if you don't want a buckle on the collar.

💚Small: 8" to 12" (width 1.7cm)

Q: How do half check collars work?

A: Where a conventional collar is able to slide off the dog's neck and over its head if the dog pulls back, the half check collar tightens (not to the point of distress or strangulation) to give a snug pain free fitting around the neck, without being able to come back over the dog's head and setting them free to chase that cat across the road! This makes it much harder (but nothing is impossible) for the dog to back out of his collar or slip free by means of cunning.
